DENSION DEBUTS IPOD INTEGRATION TO “MOST” FIBRE OPTIC VEHICLES – AN INDUSTRY FIRST!

Signal Hill, CA., Jan. 6—Visitors to this year’s CES (Jan 6-9 in Las Vegas,NV) and Macworld Expo (Jan 11-14 in San Francisco, CA) events will see Dension Audio Systems’ innovative integration of the Apple iPod to the “MOST” fibre optic vehicle infotainment platform.

MOST is an industry standard supported by major vehicle manufacturers including Mercedes-Benz / DaimlerChrysler, BMW, Volkswagen/Audi Group and selected vehicles in Ford’s Premier Automotive Group. The standard provides for the connection of vehicle entertainment, information and navigation components by a fibre optic ring. Until now, the addition of third party or aftermarket products to vehicles equipped with this ring has been virtually impossible.

"We noted that the users of products like the Apple iPod have a strong affinity towards advanced technology and product design. This is evident in the range of vehicles which our customers ask us to integrate to. More and more of these vehicles are supporting the MOST standard and we are delighted to be the first company to offer an aftermarket integration solution for this platform.” said Lee Harris, Director, Product Marketing. “We expect to start shipping by Q2 2005 and we will be glad to demonstrate our integration to visitors to our CES Booth #71453 and Apple Expo Booth #807”.

Note to editors: comprehensive background information on the MOST standard and its industry participants can be found at: www.mostcooperation.com

Supported vehicles will include
-Audi 2005 A6 and 2003+ A8 vehicles;
-BMW 5-series (E60), 6-series (E63/E64), and 7-series (E65/E66) cars; -
-Mercedes Benz E-Class (W211), late model S- and CL-Class, the new

WORLD’S FIRST FULL IPOD INTEGRATION FOR MERCEDES BENZ AUTOMOBILES WITH FIBER OPTIC RADIO SYSTEM

Brings high quality audio and iPod control to the popular Mercedes Benz C-, E-, S-, CL-, CLK-, SL-, SLK-, ML- and G-series models.

Signal Hill, CA., Dec. 8-- Dension Audio Systems today announces that its ice>Link Plus vehicle integration kit for the Apple iPod is now available for the Mercedes Benz fiber optic “D2B” radio systems.

Connecting to the original equipment radio unit on a Mercedes Benz vehicle
is a technological challenge “ said Jozsef Lukacs, CTO of Dension Audio, Ltd, “because audio signals are send in the form of modulated laser beams.”

ice>Link Plus utilises the iPod as an auxiliary vehicle display surface because the Mercedes-Benz radio system does not support CD-Text display.

"We note a high penetration of European prestige cars among iPod owners and while we have served BMW and Audi owners well since day one. Today, we’re delighted to offer owners of Mercedes Benz vehicles the same great audio quality, command and control facilities for their Apple iPods.” said Lee Harris, Director, Product Marketing.

ice>Link:Plus features include:

- dual mode operation. Dension User Interface mode enables access to all iPod playlists through a combination of CD changer interfacing and the innovative Dension menu. iPod User Interface mode lets the user operate with the iPod control surface and maps car controls to major iPod commands.

- content display on the iPod. Instead of restricting display to the limitations of car radios or requiring add-on display modules, ice>Link:Plus works in conjunction the display capabilities of the Apple iPod.

- The Dension active cradles securely hold and charge Apple iPods with dock connectors. The innovative charge control let’s you decide when to charge the iPod.

- Future-proof design. ice>Link Plus features firmware that can be upgraded from the iPod itself. Furthermore, the universal design enables the interface to be retained if the user changes vehicle with only a simple cable harness being required to adapt to a new vehicle application. The modular design also enables the user to change their iPod and retain their interface.

The Mercedes Benz variant of ice>Link Plus supports the popular Audio 10, Audio 30 and COMAND 2.0 and 2.5 head units found in

• 1999-2000 C-Class (W202),

NEW ICE>LINK PLUS FIRMWARE DELIVERS MUSIC TAG INFORMATION TO BMW VEHICLES

Redefines the standard for BMW to iPod integration.

Signal Hill, CA., Jan. 6, 2005 -- Dension Audio Systems today announces that the new release v2.04 of ice>Link Plus firmware provides music tag (song title and artist information) display on selected BMW vehicles. An industry first, this free upgrade enables BMW drivers to see song title information on their car’s information display.

"Music (MP3) tags on BMW has been one of our most requested features” Lee Harris, Director, Product Marketing was reported as saying. “At Dension, we aim to respond to our customer requests and deliver innovative functionality. We’ve sensed a frustration from BMW owners at the limited functionality available from some iPod integration products and we’re delighted to bring them the iPod integration product that they’ve been looking for.”

BMW owners with ice>Link Plus simply need to download a firmware upgrade from install.dension.com, copy the upgrade to their iPod and use the ice>Link Plus upgrade function to quickly and simply add this new capability to their product. The provided configuration files allow the selection of text display area for vehicles with multiple display field locations.

Unlike other products, ice>Link Plus maximises vehicle control and iPod display capabilities without the need for add-on display modules. “Our research with BMW owners indicates that a key part of their purchasing decision is the driver-oriented dashboard aesthetic. BMW owners consistently appreciate the elegant design of the Dension active charging iPod cradles and tell us that they regard add-on display modules as a monstrosity that clashes with the interior design of their cars.” said Lee Harris.

The BMW variant of ice>Link Plus supports text display on BMWs incorporating the “IBUS” system including the popular 3-series (E46), 5-series (E39), 7-series (E38), X3 (E83), X5 (E53), Z3 (E37), Z4 (E85), Z8 (E52). Selected older 3-series (E36) systems are also supported. Compatibility is assured for vehicles equipped with or without satellite navigation, including DSP and premium audio equipped models.

“Dension is working to make BMW iPod integration available to the new fibre optic radio system equipped models,” said Alfred Barabas, CEO of Dension USA, “including the future 1-series (E81), 3-series (E90), the new 5-series (E60), 6-series (E63/E64), and 7-series (E65/E66).” We expect the fibre-optic BMW kits on the market by Q2/2005.
